Spotlight on Our Mission:

Wingram's mission is to provide the world with environmental solutions to the increasingly prevalent problem of unsustainable plastics consumption. Wingram's core objective is to create and provide alternative solutions to conventional plastics at reasonable costs without sacrificing quality.

We believe in informed consumers, and this is something that is lacking in the bioplastics market at the moment. That is why we advocate strongly for the education of bioplastics and biodegradable products. As a commitment to this, all of our products and claims are certified and tested by top labs and institutions that regulate and standardize bioplastics. Our labs and institutions include: OWS (Belgium), Fraunhofer (Germany), DinCertco (Germany), BPI (USA), (Beta Analytic (USA), Intertek (UK).

Wingram's head office is located in Hong Kong with manufacturing facilities in China and a recycling plant in Malaysia. With over 10 years of experience within the bioplastics industry, Wingram has spent an abundance of time and resources into developing products that could potentially replace conventional plastics.

BioAcetate S70 is a sustainable material that is renewable, recyclable, sustainable, biodegradable, and biobased. BioAcetate S70 is suitable for a variety injection molding applications and acetate sheets production.

There are performance benefits too. For example, one characteristic of BioAcetate S70 is that it's hardness enhanced CA (HECA); therefore, when compared to traditional acetate, BioAcetate S70 has superior performance because it is less brittle and more durable.

One particular area we believed needed innovation was in the sphere of food packaging (currently, close to 40% of the world’s plastic consumption is in food packaging, most of which are designed to be single-use). Therefore, our firm positioned ourselves to innovate in a direction where others have not. We decided to specialize and pursue the task of creating plant-based PLA lids for high heat applications (e.g. for hot coffees or soups). After years of research and development, it is with pride that we are now supplying our CPLA hot lids to 50+ companies around the world, including industry leaders in the food packaging industry.
